Summer Wrap-Up

I did it, I did it, I did it, did it, did it!0Dmxv

You don’t know me, how could you I have posted a total of three times so far??

So you have no idea how exciting it is that I read books this summer! Like more than one…

Okay so it was weird for me because when I was in college I stopped reading for fun. Not for lack of want, but just because life sucked and I was trying to read for class. I read a small amount of books for fun in comparison to what I was used to. I was used to being able to devour multiple books in a week. I read ALL. OF. THE. TIME. Prior to college. Then I got to college, I tried to continue but I was swamped with big books about stuff I had to analyze and going insane. So, since I graduated it’s been rough. I could read a book or two in a span of anywhere from a month to a year. Seriously, even books I genuinely knew I’d love and wanted to read *cough* Lady Midnight *cough*. It disheartened me and has made me feel so bad about myself…especially because I kept reading about books, watching book tube, and now more than ever Bookstagram. So, I kept WANTING more books. LOADS of them. My shelf has grown and the amount of books I’ve been reading has dwindled tremendously. It. Sucked. So this is the most I’ve read in AGES.

So yeah, it’s a big deal. It’s not much but I am getting there. I am slowly but surely getting there. So here’s my wrap-up. The books I actually made it through this summer! 😀

Summer Wrap-Up:

Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare

Polish your Poise with Madame Chic by Jennifer L. Scott

Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery

Anne of Avonlea by L.M. Montgomery

Anne of the Island by L.M. Montgomery

The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan

Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia

❤ I read books, and I am pretty proud of myself for it. How about you? What books have you tackled this summer?

  1. Congrats! It’s such a lovely feeling to get back into reading. I might get around to reading Lord of shadows this month which I’m excited about (that’s the first book right? I’ve confused them in my head!)

    1. Nope, Lady Midnight is the first book in this series, but oh they’re both so good! They’re HUGE and so packed with things going on. Honestly I loved them both so much. I am really in love with the characters in this series. Thank you!! 🙂 I’m in a happy state of mind because I actually read 😀

      1. Lady midnight then, I knew I’d end up saying the wrong one haha. Good to know you thought they were good 🙂

      2. Haha it’s all good. I really enjoyed them. Honestly at the beginning of this year Lady Midnight helped me get back on track tremendously, despite my sluggish reading now-a-days, I went through it and it was great. I hope you enjoy it when you read it as well! 🙂

    1. Thank youuuuuu!! Lord of Shadows made me cry and I am STILL ANGRY BECAUSE THAT ENDING! >.< I love the story and the new characters, I was finally enjoying the new Institute and all of those folks, (except Zara hate her so much). THEN CASSIE DID HER THING. Eliza was just fantastic. Seriously so glad that I actually read that book!!
